Jack's birthday party

I was learning to write a narrative story.  I was writing about a fairy tale. It was a little bit hard because i can't think what to write next.  My next step is to think of more ideas.

MY HOLIDAY!

In the holidays I was playing on my x-box 360. My brother and I were playing minecraft. After playing minecraft and my brother is so good at minecraft we played Halo Reach.  I kept on dying it was awesome.  Then we played Forza Horizon I was racing Flynt and I came in 1st place. I did the racaro rush there are 8 cars and I was in first place I won! and I did Mustang vs Mustang. There is a plane and a car and I am the car racing the plane.  I was in first place and I won!. Finally I played mxgp its an awesome motorbike game and it is kinda hard.  I love playing games and I love my holiday and thats my  favourite holiday.

I am learning to make a collage. There are different types of collages there is a normal collage, a 3D collage and a digital collage. The first thing we did was to put on ripped pieces on our piece of paper. after you had to have a piece of carbon paper and draw on top of it. After that you put the third you have to put the picture on the piece of paper and then you are done.

My Weekend

In the weekend me and my family went to my friends house and played with my friends bunies and played on my friends tablet . We played GTA and Minecraft. When we were playing minecraft we saw lots of mobs killed them I was still alive. Me and my friend were giving the rabbits bath and played gun mayhem it was cool then we played a racing game I bet my friend for the first time. played a diffrent car game and I won again and that was my weekend.

Term 4 Week 4 My weekend

On Friday me and my brother and mum and dad went to Wellington. I went on a airplane it was cool. When I arrived I saw my friends in in my friends in the house. We played on my friends ipad and played hide and seek. we played on the trampilene and tag it was it was the best day on Sunday we woke up at 4oclock and watched the rugby allblacks win!!!. then me and my and my family drove back to Aukland.  we made at 5oclock

Geometry 3D Shapes

My Reflection

I was learning about 3D shapes. I found this activity tricky but I got some help to make it easier. I enjoyed this activity because it was fun. I learn lots from this activity. My next step is to learn more and do harder activities. Next time I could be better because I know the shapes well. If I did this activity again I could do it a lot faster because I have learnt more.

Puppet pals play

My Reflection

We have been learning to read out loud using expression. We need to look at the punctuation to help us use expression. When there is an exclamation mark we make it sound louder and interesting. We read a play  to practice  and then recorded it on puppet pals I found this tricky because its hard to read when the scene changes. My next step is to use more expression.

Learning About Explanation Writing

My Reflection

I have been learning about Explanation writing I now know that explanation writing tells about how something works. I found the quiz I found this tricky because I did,t know the answers.  My next step is to get all the answers correct by looking at the question carefully and reading the learning information

My Reflection

I have been learning about the Maori concept of well being.  There are 4 aspects of Hauroa.  I matched the words to the correct part of Hauora.

Learning About Adjectives

I was learning to add adjectives to give my sentences more meaning.

I have to remember to use adjectives that make the picture clear for my reader.

I thought this activity was easy because I thought really hard.

My best adjective was very heavy because I used two adjectives.

My next step is to use adjectives in my own stories to make them interesting.

Rounding number to the nearest 10 and 100

I have been learning to round numbers to the nearest 10 and 100. i found this tricky because it was new learning for me.  My next step is to round bigger numbers.

Features of a Non-fiction Text

My Reflection

We have been learning to identify the features of a non-fiction text. I found it hard because I don't know which one to choose.  My next step is do more practice.

Term 2 week 2

Last week we were looking at ANZAC Day.  I made poppies. It was hard to make them because they were hard to cut. I tried my best then I tried again but this time i did it.

Counting On

My Reflection

I have been learning to count on from the biggest number.  I found this a bit tricky because the numbers got bigger.  My next step is to try a new strategy to solve bigger numbers.  

My Pepeha

This is my pepeha.  I have been learning to introduce myself in Māori using my pepeha.  I created some art to display my pepeha.

Term 1 Week 8

On Monday we saw the Stormwater Show in the auditorium.  Stormwater - if you have something that you ate please do not throw it in the drain.  Throw it in the rubbish bin, so it can't go out to the sea so the sea can't get messy and fish won't die.

We are learning about the blue whale challenge it is fun I enjoyed it.

African Praise Poem

My reflection

I have been learning to write an African praise poem. I found this work interesting because I had to compare myself to an animal. My next step is to use better words next time.

Finding similarities and differences in a text

i .a.l.t find similarities and differences in a text we have been reading about chinese new year. we used a venn diagram to compare chinese and new zealand new year. i found this easy because i have to do to of these circle. my next step is tokeep doing this so i can get bertter and bertter.

Term 1 Week 4

Yesterday i went to yuothtown and played capture the flag it was fun I tried to get the last ball it was very close but I missed but I enjoyed the game.
