My Reflection

I have been learning to relate to the characters in the text. 

We have been reading Georges Marvellous Medicine.  I thought of some words to describe grandma from what I learnt about her in the story .

I found this tricky because it was hard thinking of words. 

My next step is to try and remember some of the words that the author uses to describe Grandma. 

Identifying Different Types of Words

My reflection

I have been learning to identify nouns verbs and adjectives.  I found this easy because I know what nouns and verbs are.  Nouns are a thing.  Verbs are doing words.  My next step is to learn what adjectives are.

All About Insects

My Reflection

I found this work interesting because I learnt new things.  I would have liked to come up with more ideas for my time.  The best part of this is going to the library to find books.  My next step is to practice skimming and scanning.

My Certificate

Today I got a certificate in assembly for making great progress in reading and maths.  I felt happy.

Granpa's Slippers Cloze Activity

We read a story called Grandpa's Slippers and I completed a cloze activity about the story.  I found this tricky because it was hard to find the right words and use the right punctuation.  My next step is to keep trying more of these.

Te Tuhi Art

This is my dream house that I did at Te Tuhi.  I like it because it is a nice dream house.  I put in a bridge and ladders and a TV.  It was fun.

Duckling Palace - Summarising Information

Reading Reflection

I have been learning to summarise information into my own words.  I found this a bit tricky because it was hard to find the information and put it in my own words.  My next step is to make sure I understand what I am reading and explain the story in my own words.

I was learning how to use my five senses to add detail to my writing so that I can make my writing more interesting for my reader.  I found this easy because i know my special place and it was easy to describe it.  Next time i do this kind of writing i can improve by using more interesting  words to describe my special place. i felt confident while doing this writing.
